About me
Welcome! I am a Lecturer in Optimization at the Department of Mathematics of King's College London. Previously, I was a Lecturer in Mathematics at the School of Science and Engineering of the University of Dundee, and before that, a postdoctoral research associate at Yale University, hosted by Dr. Dionysis Kalogerias.
I received my PhD in Optimization and Operational Research from the University of Edinburgh, where I was advised by Prof. Jacek Gondzio (primary) and Prof. John W. Pearson (secondary). Prior to this, I received a BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Athens, and an MSc in Operational Research with Computational Optimization from the University of Edinburgh.
Research interests: My research interests lie in the fields of continuous optimization, computational mathematics, and risk-aware decision making. I focus on the analysis and development of models and associated efficient algorithms for the solution of nonlinear (possibly non-smooth and/or stochastic and/or black-box) optimization problems, with applications in operational research, data science, and engineering.Â
